CAREER
I’m from New York and I came to Tokyo in 2006 with my dream to be a successful DJ! I didn’t know anybody and couldn’t speak Japanese, but I met some great friends here and they helped me achieve my dream!
After my DJ career, I tried hard to find my next dream and I did a lot of freelance work. I was a personal trainer, graphic designer, programmer, teacher, translator, branding consultant, event producer, and much more.
BUSINESS
In almost 20 years in Japan, I helped my friends study abroad, get jobs in global companies, and expand their businesses overseas. That’s what I do full-time now. Helping Japanese people reach their global potential! I mainly work with brands that need support with inbound customers or support with overseas sales (and everything in-between!).
To me it’s the same process and I call it GX (Global Transformation). In other words, my dream is to help Japanese people achieve their dreams! I was able to live my dreams, fall in love, and have children in this country. Now it’s my turn to give back!
VISION
I do GX because I want more Japanese people to live and work overseas. Then when they come back to Japan, they can mentor and support the next generation who wants to go global. Then those people come back and do the same. Repeat this again and again! After 20 years, I hope that Japan will be a more global place and when my kids start working, they will have their own definition of “I’m Japanese.”
I want to connect with Japanese founders who have a global vision for their brand or business. From local ramen shops to trendy fashion brands, I’m confident that I can help them be more profitable and more well-known internationally. It’s a long journey, so I want to work with people who like challenges and are not afraid to take risks and make mistakes.
Global transformation is not easy, but I love it when we have break-through moments together and the brands really start believing in their own potential!
