With a master’s degree in anthropology, I chose Japan to do my research. I lived for a few months in the Mie prefecture to meet the amasan – the super grannies who dive to depths of 10 m while freediving!
7 years later, and a 140-page dissertation published on the CNRS DUMAS website (famous scholar research website in France), I live in Tokyo, where I am now a journalist for the French media. In parallel, I also do travel consulting for an international group based in Tokyo and I published 2 novels. These novels are a part of a trilogy of fantasy thrillers, called ”Le Bureau des Ames” (“The office of the soul” in English), which talks about the afterlife and uses fantasy as a way to provide a satire of French society. Both novels were recognised as best sellers on their publication platform (BOD- Bookondemands).
In the future, I would like to focus more on journalism and my novels, as writing is my life purpose. My biggest dream would be to see my saga adapted as a TV series, but for now, I will focus on writing the third and last volume of the trilogy. I am also working on a stationary brand inspired by my books.
Don’t be afraid of pursuing big dreams and working hard. Stay honest and don’t be afraid to do things by yourself (not always counting on others) and make sacrifices.
